Expanding Access to Hepatitis C Diagnostics and Treatment for Key Populations in Ukraine


Project duration: 1 October 2014–30 September 2015.

Overall project goal: ensuring sufficient access of vulnerable populations to integrated and quality services in line with current needs, so as to make an impact on the epidemic. This is expected to lead to behavior change which may decrease the risks of HIV and HCV among key populations and improve the quality of life of people living with HIV and HCV.
Project objectives:

  • Supporting a sustainable response to the epidemic at local, national and regional levels through advocacy and policies based on real situation analysis.
  • Building the capacity of HIV-service organizations, NGOs and other relevant local organizations working to scale up access to HCV diagnostics and treatment, prevention of HIV and other viral infections.
  • Mobilization of sufficient financial resources from state, city and other budgets.
