Ahead of the 26th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2026), taking place on 26–31 July 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the Alliance for Public Health is pleased to share its roadmap of key sessions, presentations, posters and other engagements.
Throughout the conference, APH experts and partners will contribute to discussions on Ukraine’s HIV response during the full-scale war, community leadership, human rights, harm reduction, digital health, innovative service delivery and continuity of care in crisis settings.
A key part of APH’s participation will be the joint Ukrainian booth “Ukraine’s Community Resilience: Global Lessons” in the Global Village. The booth will serve as a platform for presentations, discussions and exchanges featuring experience from Ukraine, the EECA region and global partners.
One of the main materials presented in Rio will be APH’s new publication, Innovating Under Fire: Ukraine’s Community-Led Health Models for Crisis Settings. It brings together nine practical public health models developed and adapted in Ukraine during the full-scale war and explores how these approaches can inform health responses in other countries affected by conflict and humanitarian crises.
